congratulations to the winning team consisting of Emily Padgett, Terri Cotheren, Justin Padgett, and Brennon Hester from Arctic Nite bowling center. Also congratulations to Angela Krzykowski for winning women's singles and to Jeff Mojica for winning men's singles. Thank you to Jose Mojica and Jose Body and paint for sponsoring this tournament.

congratulations to Ray Lighthall average 218 and Vicky Pluma averaged 178 on winning the 1300 this year. Also congratulations to Kerry Painter average 231 on winning the men's singles and to Lou Tilman average 194 on winning the women's singles. Thanks to everyone who participated and a big thank you to all our sponsors.

Congratulations to Nathan Peck, John Wenger, and John Schuiteman on their win in this years hojo Trios. Also congratulations to Guadeloupe Vasquez on winning the singles.

Fairbanks 700 Classic
December 3, 2013

Kerry Painter finishes as the top bowler during the 2013 700 Classic Tournament. The tournament started with a total of 41 participants. The bowlers played on the Kegel Winding Road lane pattern and had a difficult time getting anything going. After 4 games of qualifying the tournament cut to the top 32 bowlers. Which then entered into a 2 game elimination format Kerry finished day one still in the winners bracket along with 8 others. Sunday Kerry got knocked into the second chance bracket where he wouldn't lose another match. With Mike Lee and Scotty Berg battling for the final spot in the winners bracket Scotty took the match by just a few pins, sending Mike Lee to bowl against Kerry who found a good line to play and never looked back. after advancing past Mike, Kerry then played the tournament leader Scotty Berg. Kerry now had to beat Scotty in two matches to claim the champions title. Kerry did so with scores of 399-322 (2 game match) and the final match being 386-340.

Golden Heart Classic Tournament
December 3, 2013

Teri Lewis wins her first Golden Heart Classic Tournament. Teri averaged 193 to put herself in 4th place heading into a single elimination step ladder. She got things rolling by bowling against Allison Lee defeating her with a score of 210 - 190, she moved on to bowl against Amanda Crabtree winning by only 3 pins 195-192 Teri would advance to bowl Kathy Hudson, this match ended with Teri shooting a 245 to top Kathy's 211. Teri then started the final match against Brandy Gloria with a string of strikes putting her the driver seat to win the title she would end the day by bowling another 245 game topping Brandy and her 194.

Steve Brown Wins Fairbanks Open
November 21, 2013

After making the cut in the 24th and final spot in the field Steve started his two day run for the chance to earn another Fairbanks open title. Steve lead the field for much of the match play portion of the tournament finished in second place for the step ladder match.
In the top 5 you had James Riske (Anchorage), Ben Swenor Jr. (Fairbanks), Kerry Painter (Fairbanks), Steve Brown (Anchorage), and Ron Mohr (Las Vegas). After James defeated Ben and Kerry to advance to bowl against Steve, the two from Anchorage didn't fail to add even more excitement to the tournament when James finished with a 258 game and forced Steve to strike out in the tenth frame to go into a 9th and 10th frame roll off, Steve squeeked passed James to earn the the chance to bowl and take over first place bowling against Ron Mohr. Steve continued his impressive bowling by defeating Ron with the score of 269 to 246.  


Tod Richardson Handicap Doubles

A new Handicap Doubles will be held at Arctic Bowl on October 12-13. Entries are out at Arctic Bowl it is open to the first 24 entries.
